Southwest Wine Center Awards
Don’t Just Study Wine — Make it.
At Yavapai College’s Southwest Wine Center, Viticulture & Enology Program students don’t just study wine — they make it.
Our immersive, hands-on program prepares students for careers in Arizona’s growing wine industry through degree and certificate pathways in Viticulture (the science of the vine), Enology (the science of winemaking), or the full Associate of Applied Science experience.
In our 13-acre estate vineyard, students master soil, water, and vineyard management practices — then bring that fruit into our state-of-the-art teaching winery to guide it from harvest through fermentation, analysis, aging, and bottling. Through our on-site tasting room, they also gain real-world experience in marketing and direct-to-consumer sales.
From vineyard to bottle, students graduate career-ready — equipped with the technical skill, production knowledge, and industry insight to thrive in the world of wine.
